WORK EXPERIENCE
In 2013, Heleen set up the Compliance department and was appointed Compliance Officer. She was responsible for:
- setting up the Compliance Management System
- developing and conducting of compliance risk analyses and risk management
- advising on the implementation of control measures
- designing and writing the compliance policy
- embedding compliance in the corporate culture, among other things by creating awareness throughout the organization
- implementing compliance themes such as privacy, anti-corruption, anti-fraud, integrity, competition law, dealing with business incidents, working with business partners
- setting up and implementing a whistleblower/speak-up reporting procedure
- investigating and handling reports via the whistleblower/speak-up reporting procedure
Heleen is honest, curious and likes to ask critical questions. She likes to sort things out and investigate She doesn't settle for the easy answers. She likes to search for the "why", and find out why things go as they go. Heleen provides open and honest contradiction and is trained to recognize behavioral patterns.
EDUCATION
In November 2019 Heleen participated in the Compliance Course: Advanced Course of the Compliance Academy

In September 2016, Heleen started the post-masters program
Compliance & Integrity Management at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. With obtaining her diploma in June 2018, Heleen can call herself ECIM (Certified Executive Compliance and Integrity Manager) and is registered in the
EMoC / ECIM register. She is able to approach compliance and integrity issues in a multidisciplinary manner.
